Swirl pattern

PepsiCo is home to iconic brands. Chances are, you have one of our products in your pantry or fridge right now. But we’re so much more than the food and beverages you know and love. Discover PepsiCo’s Digital Hubs.

The way we do business is changing. And the scope of that digital evolution might surprise you. At the heart of this transformation? Two new state-of-the-art Digital Hubs in Barcelona and Dallas.

Thinkers, makers and doers across functions — potentially even some that don’t exist yet — are invited to learn, develop and grow their careers while impacting the world around us for decades to come.

The PepsiCo Digital Hubs aren’t just offices. Think of them as startup incubators. Except that instead of waiting for funding, they already have the material investments necessary to make change happen on a global scale today.

Associates, including Yasemin Cengiz, a Global Senior Manager of Data and Analytics, witness these game-changing innovations every day.

Hello! Tell us about yourself. Who are you and what do you do?

I’m fascinated by data. Really, my focus is harnessing the power of data and analytics to enable enterprise-wide change. I’m a data engineer lead at our new Digital Hub in Barcelona. Being a part of creating this incredible ecosystem has been so rewarding.

What is so transformative about these Digital Hubs?

Simply put, we’re identifying opportunities and solutions. At PepsiCo, we’re all about being faster, stronger, and better in the marketplace. We’re bringing together experts and talented engineers to leverage cutting-edge technology, including machine learning and artificial intelligence. PepsiCo has so many iconic brands. We have an opportunity to drive their legacy into the future.

What is being in the office like? Does it inspire you?

The Barcelona Digital Hub is brand-new. It’s truly a state-of-the-art facility. I’ve only been here for six months or so, but I can already say that the people here inspire me. There is a sense of purpose, commitment and collaboration. Everyone here has a common purpose. We all strive to connect with one another, identify complex challenges and work together to find solutions.

Associates at the Digital Hubs in Barcelona and Dallas have an opportunity to innovate in ways that will impact PepsiCo for years to come.

The Digital Hubs are engines for change. What does that mean to you?

We are a driving force in the digitalization of PepsiCo, a global brand that a billion plus people interact with each day. We’re looking at solutions for problems that previously seemed impossible. For example, we’re creating efficiencies in operations, improving the customer experience and ultimately adding value to PepsiCo as a business of the future.

What does the Digital Hub bring to Barcelona as a city?

Barcelona is a great city. PepsiCo’s Digital Hub makes it better. We’re attracting top global talent. Working with these individuals has been so impactful. We’re learning together while developing as leaders.

PepsiCo is known for its inclusive culture. What stands out to you about PepsiCo’s culture since joining the Barcelona Digital Hub?

PepsiCo’s culture is warm, welcoming and inviting. No matter who you are, there is a space to be you at PepsiCo. I’ve also found that PepsiCo champions women in tech. That’s especially important since gender disparities in tech are so well known.

Can you talk more about that?

Growing up, I was told that I shouldn’t become an engineer because I am a woman. Now I’m very proud to be working in science. I’m lucky to interact with inspiring women every day.

Is there anyone in particular who inspires you at the Digital Hubs?

Our Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, for example, is Dr. Athina Kanioura. Her presence alone is so encouraging. She’s creating such an open culture and an inclusive environment. Anyone is invited to demonstrate who they are — the unique things that make them them.
